So, back to Hollywood Studios today. This time we divided at the entry point and the girls went off and rode Aerosmith and then the Tower of Terror. Bob and I went to the Great Move Ride and then the Magic of Animation. We met up again for the Voyage of the Littler Mermaid which is a lovely live show which mixes live performers with film and puppets. After that we found a place to watch the Frozen parade. Today was the first day of Frozen Summer with lots of Frozen themed events. Lots of little Elsas in the park in their costumes too. The parade was short but very nice. Plenty of people on inline skates in woollens (poor souls) and all the main characters. Most amazingly given the 105F heat was the fact that for the entire length of the parade route (maybe 1/2 mile) there was a billowing snow storm from Disney Magic Snow Machines. An amazing sight. At various points along the route the procession stopped for a rendition of Let it o!!!! Most enjoyable.
After that we watched the Muppets 3D show which is always fun. Then we had a coffee break and went to see the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. We love this show. By now it was extremely hot and Bob and I retreated to the Animation building again while the girls went to the Lights Camera Action stunt driving show which is also fantastic.
At this point it was 2pm and we left the park and went off to do a quick shopping stop at Bed Bath and Beyond. Lucy wanted some more bedroom and bathroom stuff. We are still trying to find some good duvet sets. Not having a lot of luck. Americans prefer comforters (light permanently covered quilts) which they partner with a top and bottom sheet. While we in Europe prefer duvets with removable covers and a bottom sheet. Anyway, the result is that comforter sets are amazing bargains while duvet cover sets are not. She did get some fabulous towels though and some other items. We also went into Pier 1 Imports, one of my favourite quirky home goods shops and we both got some stuff. Daisy had been looking in Dress Barn (end of line designer clothes) and we of course then had to go in there. It was 5pm by the time we left.
We were meant to be going back to the park or the evening for the fireworks and Phantasmic show but Bob was pretty tired and we decided to have an evening in especially as we have an early start for Universal in the morning. I was a bit disappointed because I love that show and the Frozen Fireworks are meant to be amazinh but… It was no doubt the right decision.
So, dinner in, margaritas, tv and feet up.
