Scorcher!

An absolute scorcher today and as we had no sightseeing to do, we stayed close to the pool – or actually in the pool most of the day.

Gunray brought up Stuart’s hire car at around 10am and that was quickly dealt with.  Then the three chaps went off for their pampering session at the Turkish barbers.  Pictures hopefully to follow!!!!! They had shaves, head massages, ears, nose, forehead etcetc waxed and tapered, face masks, creams etc…. all for a princely £4 each.  Came back looking super smart and very smooth around the face and head.

We had lunch on the dining terrace which was the coolest place.  Lots of cold dishes and lovely village bread.

Spent all afternoon in the pool, reading and dozing!!!!  Habibi the gardener came up and did some work.  Can’t say I envied him.

We all met up again on the terrace for g&ts at 630 and then met up with our neighbours Alan and Lesley and Mick and Christine and we all went up to the vineyard restaurant for dinner.  Had a large table for 10, overlooking the valley.  Another lovely dinner, washed down by plenty of their red wine.  All was delicious.  I had salmon wrapped in filo pastry with a leek cream sauce.  It was probably one of the best salmon dishes I’ve ever had, and a massive portion.  Lots of the others had steaks which they reported well on.  The desserts also went down a treat.

Still so hot at 1030pm.  Could have easily gone swimming but too tired.  Diving in the morning.
