It was a day of two halves, Daisy and I had a girly morning at Amore beauty day spa. Daisy had a deep cleansing facial which left her face shining and clear. She loved it. Going back next week for a Crystalclear facial. I had my nails did. Unfortunately no SNS powder manicure on Cyprus so I reverted to Shellac. They had a hell of a job getting the SNS off but I must say my nails looked great when revealed. I picked a pastel pink colour and am pleased with the result. The whole lot cost £35 with tip. Prices up since last time.
Came back and had a lovely lunch around the pool and then the chaps departed for a deep sea tuna fishing trip. They were really excited – been looking forward to it all week. We stayed behind in anticipation. Marion came up with a load of stuff back from the laundry and also very kindly brought me some of her home made ice cream.
The chaps called at about 4pm to say that the fishing trip was cancelled due to rough weather at sea….. very very disappointed. Not windy or anything so????? Instead they went into our local fish shop and bought 10 massive king prawns and a large sea bass for us to cook up on the bbq tonight. This is the last of a series of fails on the tuna fishing front. Have tried quite a few times to get out on the boat but with no luck so far.
Anyway, the fish cooked up a treat – absolutely delicious as were the massive prawns, with a sauce of garlic butter. I made a load of chips and the hasselbacks again. We ate on the terrace, washed it all down with beef and wine.
After dinner we retired to the lounge to watch The Heart of the Sea which seemed appropriate. Ate bowls of ice cream.
One day I will be able to tell you about tuna fishing out of Kyrenia… but not today…..
