Holi, Colours, New Arrivals and A Boat Trip with Eagles – Travels with Allie.
Can’t believe we’ve been here a month tomorrow….. it’s gone so fast. Tomorrow we head south 6 hours to the Florida Keys. To warmer weather and more exotic shores…
This morning we began to pack… did laundry. Danny and Heather arrived at about 11am and we had a great catch up and chat. So glad they came over. We went out to the local sushi place for lunch which was very nice indeed. A lovely visit.
Came back for more chat. They set off home about 4pm and we finalised our packing. We are in good shape for the morning.
We went out to the lake at about 6pm hoping to see the SpaceX launch from the cape but it was cancelled with less than 2 minutes on the clock. A cruise ship had entered the go-no-go zone. I bet that resulted in an interesting conversation….

We went out to dinner at Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse on International Drive. Probably the best dinner we’ve had since being here. Bob and I shared a massive 24oz ribeye steak, paired with garlic mash and penne in a tomato sauce. It was perfect. Fi had 2 chicken breasts in Sinatra sauce with garlic mash and spinach. Stuart had a 1 lb serving of lasagne – a really nice one which was heavy on meat and sausage with just the lightest amount of pasta and white sauce. I tasted them all and they were all delicious. Somewhere to definitely return to – prices were super reasonable for the quality and service.
