Holi, Colours, New Arrivals and A Boat Trip with Eagles – Travels with Allie.
The day started with a slight dread…. It was time to take our covid tests to enable boarding our cruise on Saturday. We’d booked them with Walgreens pharmacy, about 2 miles up the road and they were spaced out at 30 minute intervals, starting with me at 1015. It was a rapid antigen test, self administered, under supervision at the drive-thru pharmacy window. We had to take our booking confirmation, passports and if we’d had any, medical insurance. Anyway, when we arrived the pharmacist decided to “do” us all at once and I guess the whole process took about 10 minutes max. Look, it’s never pleasant, is it. On the other hand, very professional and well organised and even better, absolutely free. We will have our results within 24 hours plus our certificate. Fingers crossed.
We went into the Publix supermarket next door and got just the few things we needed for tonight’s dinner and then headed back to our apartment. It was a lovely hot day so we had decided to peg out around our pool. Spent a lovely afternoon there swimming and sunbathing.
About 515 we walked across the road to the Sunset Grille and joined their popular happy hour for sunset. We managed to get seats waterside with a clear view of the sun and the bridge. We armed ourselves with margaritas and waited. It was a spectacularly good one tonight and we had great views from our seats and from the bar’s fishing pier. We enjoyed watching the sun set set and then the even better colours that followed.

Came back and had loaded nachos, then lasagne and caesar salad. A very good day. Hoping for a negative email from Walgreens overnight and then tomorrow, a day at the beach.
