Still windy today – sunny, warm but windy….. we headed off into Kyrenia in the morning to a stationers we’d been recommended that would sell labels suitable for the jam jars. I thought it was nice to label the various jars so that guests could recognise what each was!!!! Plus the ones for presents…..
They did have labels… only plain ones… and so I bought some sticky labels and coloured pens too. Can decorate them myself. We also stopped and bought a few plants at a nearby garden centre to go into pots. We had lost a couple over the summer.
When we got back, John was there working in the pool room. He is replacing more of the 20 year old pipework. We had to drop the pool about 18 inches – still going on as I write. We have been so lucky with the pool… so little problems all these years. Still 20 year old plastic pipework and rubber flanges… best to keep it updated.
After lunch, Bob started painting the two coffee tables. Over the year people have put their feet on them and chipped little bits so he has filled them and then painted the stone again to be good as new. I started my labels. My penmanship is not stellar but … hey.. they’re charmingly rustic – that’s what I say!!!!! Anyway, got them all done except the couple of half filled ones we will use up before we leave.

Tonight, there was a beautiful moon rise over the sea. Lovely and atmospheric.
