Pampering

Today was another golf day for David, Eddie, Stuart and Bob. They went off at 0830, first for breakfast and then for tee off at 0930 at the Lalit. Fi, Deborah, Pamela and I met at 9 for breakfast and then our pampering session.

Pamela had booked us in for massages at the posh Sobit Sarovar Portico hotel in Palolem. We tuk’d over there for 11am and were warmly welcomed into the very Thai flavoured spa. There was quite a menu of treatments on offer at reasonable (by European standards) prices. Fi, Deborah and Pamela all went for massage treatments of different kinds for 60 minutes. I decided to have a 60 minute Youth and Brilliance Facial instead.

It was really brilliant. Treatment after treatment massaged into my face, neck and decollitage,. Lotions, creams, a face pack, steaming and vaporising, more creams… all deeply cleansing and moisturising. Lovely. It cost £38 including tax and in my opinion was well worth it to scrub out a month of greasy sun creams, sand etc…. The other girls loved their massages and I must say it was a fabulous experience. I would certainly go back again.

We then all went for lunch at a fabulous healthy eating place called Nireas. It was almost a carbon copy of Zest – lots of healthy poke bowls, noodles, veg dishes, juices etc. I had something called a Buddha bowl which was grilled beetroot, brown rice, broccoli, avocado, various other things I forget, hmmm….. seeds… homemade peanut sauce and soy sauce…. Fi had a Mediterranean bowl, Deborah had a gluten free wrap stuffed with vegetables and falafel with sauce. Pamela had a chicken cheese burger. The other girls all had fruit and veg juices, I had water. Did I mention I;m down 2kg in the last couple of weeks? Smug smile…

Came back and chilled and then tonight we all had dinner at Casa Fiesta on Patnem Beach. I guess there were about 16 of us there for Sheena and Dave’s last dinner. They go home tomorrow night. Their 2.75 weeks have just flown by. Crazy fast. Had a lovely long dinner with really nice food, drinks, good chat…. Tomorrow we have a big boat trip….
