It continues hot and sunny here. No sign of cooling down yet. On Monday Stuart and Fi went for their medical checks in Kyrenia. They should get their results on Thursday. We spent the afternoon around the pool and then in the evening had a lovely bbq. Stuart grilled .

On Tuesday we spent the day at Escape Beach. The water was lovely and we had a lot of swims and wallows. The others had lunch there but I went off to Alsancak for an hour or so and got my nails done. It had been 3 weeks and they had grown a lot. A good manicure for just over £20. Came back to the beach for a last hour or so.

Last evening we were invited to Pamela’s house in Lapta for dinner. I’d made a cheesecake as the dessert offering. It was interesting. It was the same one I make at home often – Lemon and Blueberry. Except…… I couldnt get blueberries so substituted frozen blackberries and one of our group is a celiac so I had to use gluten free flour and biscuits – it’s a baked one. Oh… and the lemon curd was weird here, jelly like rather than creamy. So apart from that, all the same…. I could tell as I mixed it that it was different – runnier and it took twice as long to bake. Still…. hmmmm… it was just about edible but nothing like it should be.

Pamela has an amazing house and she made us all very welcome. Lovely big prawns in garlic butter sauce followed by Thai green curried chicken and rice. We had a lovely evening.
