Gorgeous day on the beach today. Cloudless sky, little wind, calm, clear sea and not many people. Had a lovely time. Had a nice zoom call with Stuart and Fi.

Tonight we went in a party of 12 and a parade of tuks to a new restaurant (to us) in Palolem, called The Wave. On the way we passed a local village wedding right in the centre of the village in the little farm there. The house was all decorated up, everyone in their finery and a band playing. The ceremony had been in the temple which was also decorated.

The Wave is a very modern place, with heavy eco credentials. The bungalows are lovely and the restaurant is reminiscent of a Tahitian longhouse. Soaring curved roof and twisted bamboo. They had a band on tonight who were really good. The food is a mix of Indian and European. Not cheap for beach food but not expensive either. Service was spot on and it’s an open kitchen.

I had mushroom mac and cheese with truffle and Bob had spaghetti arrabiata. Really yum. There were sharing platters of different types. Drinks were good if a bit on the pricier side. Our bill was about £20 including 3 double g&ts and service. Would definitely go back there again and it was a lovely place for a more special evening. Definitely a step up from most restaurants down here.
