Last night we had a drinks party at our apartment for 15 or so friends.   Bob had somehow scavenged enough tonics – there is a severe area shortage at the moment!    Catastrophe!!! Luckily, he managed to scavenge enough for our “do”.

Everyone contributed in some way and we has a really lovely time.  Lots of Indian snacks and nibbles, g&ts, gin fizzes, beer, vodka tonics …. And a lot of great chat and laughter.  We are so lucky to have these wonderful friends in our life here in Patnem.

Afterwards Bob and I, Pamela, Chris, Heather. John, Susan and Pat tuk’d to the Sushi Cafe for some dinner.   It was great as usual.   I think we were all pretty well oiled!!!!

Today we had a day on the beach. Very hot – 36C. No wind at all in the morning, then breezy in the afternoon. Tonight we went to Boomshankar for 530 with John, Susan and Pamela. Rubbish sunset where the sun disappeared into the haze really early on and the sky hardly changed colour. Nice cocktails though.

We then went to Magic View for dinner, meeting Gloria and Jean there. Pamela and I shared a 4 cheese pizza. Bob had spaghetti vongole which had masses of clams. John and Susan shared an olive and cheese pizza. Gloria and Jean shared a veggie pizza. All the food was delicious but the service was awful because they were absolutely rammed and they don’t have enough staff plus they ran out of tonic and soda water and had to send someone out to find some which made the service even worse. Hmmmm..
