Our last couple of days are now past. We’ve finished off all of our jobs and the house is now “ready to receive”! lol.
Yesterday we lolled by the pool all morning and then Bob went to canasta club in the afternoon. In the evening we went to our friends, Heather and Chris, for a lovely swim and then dinner. They have made their house absolutely beautiful, really nice touches, the garden is gorgeous and their swimming pool is like a Balinese spa… just fabulous to wallow in. Had a lovely dinner and much great chat. Such a nice night.
Today we had all the a/c units serviced and also found we need one of them replacing. It had started to make a noise from the external compressor box. The a/c technician said it was knackered and that we might as well replace both parts ie inside and outside for all the difference in price. He’s coming back tomorrow am to do it. A slight blow as it’s an unbudgeted cost… had to be done though.
We packed some of our stuff, tidied away other things.. I heavily watered the container plants. The ones on the dining terrace particularly need some water from our guests. Habib can’t get there when he comes up to look at the garden plants and we dont have automatic watering on the terrace.
Had lots of swims and sunbathing. Bob went and got his hair cut at Big Men! Never fails to raise a grin.

Tonight we went to Silver Rocks in Lapta for dinner with Pamela. When we arrived Mike and Linda were in the bar having a drink so it was so nice to see them. It’s an idyllic scene there – a beautiful pool one side of the restaurant and the lovely limpid open sea on the other. They are always so welcoming too. We had several drinks in the bar and then dinner on one of the oversea decks. A small meze to start. Then I had mixed grill. Bob had scampi, and Pamela had a fish fillet. It came with a big bowl of salad and one of the most divine chips. Everything was very good. Our bill was
£56 for 4 g&ts, 2 beers, the meze and food, plus 2 free Turkish coffees and brandies at the end. Pretty good value if not cheap as it used to be.

We had a lovely evening of chat too. Sorry to leave tomorrow but glad to see our Kentish friends and of course, the girls, Geri and Bella-Boo very soon. Have had a fabulous stay here this time. The weather has been perfection and we’ve been really relaxed.
