The past few days the weather has turned to summer days, nice and warm. 27C on the terrace today.I have even been in the pool a few times. Even Bob came in today. The water temperature is 22C. Bob is just finishing the last of his small jobs now so we should have a good week at the end of our stay to just relax and enjoy the villa and the coast.

Still a lot of loquats on the trees and almonds just coming along. The Cypriots pick them green and eat them as slivers dipped in salt. They are delicous. Our lemon tree is covered in blossom and the scent of the flowers is absolutely exquisite. I wish I could bottle it.

We’ve had a lot of bbqs – t bone steaks, sheftali, peppers…. it is a great pleasure to eat dinner outside. And we’ve been positioning and checking the garden watering lines ready for the summer.

Tonight we had dinner with Pamela, Eddie, Deborah and David at Silver Rocks in Lapta. Really good evening, very convivial company and nice food. I had calamari. Bob had a scampi starter and then seafood in a cream sauce. We had lots of drink, vegetable sides and cold meze starters. It was about £15 each in all.
