Beautiful day today – the weather was sunny and perfect. Just a gentle breeze too. We decided to spend the day at Escape Beach and we were down there by 10am. Got lounges right at the water’s edge. Literally toes in the water.

There were some little bitey fish there today. I didn’t get bitten but they went for Bob and John whenever they went into the water and in fact drew blood on Bob’s leg!!!! Piranhas they must have been! We still were in and out a lot though. It wasn’t very busy down there.

We had a nice lunch and read books and Bob and I certainly had a long afternoon sleep. John and Sue walked out to the little island at the opening of the bay.

Came home at 4 and jumped in the pool to wash off the salt. It’s now just a bit colder than the sea but very swimmable still.

Later we sat out on the dining terrace and had cocktails and the boys played cribbage and the ladies read. I burned some frankincense. Lovely.

For dinner we went to Tervetuloa and met Mick and Christine who are almost at the end of their holiday. We had such a lovely dinner. Nice food and a great atmosphere due to Afet and Amir. Such good value too.
