Fingers, Toes and The Beach

I forgot to mention that a few days ago we made the first of what will no doubt be several treks to Margao to visit Nailmaster Manish, my nail bar of choice. It’s quite a long way to go – 1 hour by cab each way – but they are the nearest salon now that does acrylic treatments. Bob came up with me and sat reading in the a/c for 2.5 hours while I got “done”. John and Susan were going to come with us and we were going to the covered market and Fab India as well but they had been poorly overnight, in fact succumbing to the Patnem bug. They are fine again now.

Very very hot on the beach today. Bob stuck it out till lunchtime and then went back to the hotel for a sleep in the cool. He is still not back to normal. i have several different courses of antibiotics with me if necessary.

Trying to organise a big boat tour at the moment for next week and finally managed to get hold of them today. It is looking like Friday. Sounds amazing. Bettys Boat Tour in Cavalossim. Gets great reviews on Tripadvisor.

I had a pedicure appointment at 3 at a little salon just off the beach. Your feet take a bit of a beating here from the sandy dirt roads and paths etc. Scrub as I may, I can’t get them back to scratch. Anyway, the lady at Gorgeous did a cracking job while I relaxed in the ac. A bargain at £15 for gel polish. 90 minutes of foot heaven. And you cant turn a pig’s ear into a silk purse or a hobbit foot into a painted dove…. so…. but trust me.. they are a king to what they were.

Tonight we ate at Casa Fiesta on the beach with John and Susan. Joseph and Janet and the family were also there at a nearby table. John, Susan and Bob had Fish Pollichatu. I had kingfish steak bbq with butter garlic sauce and veg. Everything was fantastic. On the way back to Eve’s we stopped into the gelato shop and had ice creams. Omg Yum.
