It’s been 2 days of arrivals and departures and last meals….
Yesterday we all spent the day on Patnem Beach at Sea Front. The wind really got up in the afternoon – umbrellas blowing across the sands…. the sea turned choppy. Still got quite a few dips in. Too hot not to. Bob and Daisy played canasta with Pamela and Eddie and won again. They are a lucky pairing.
It was Joseph and Janet’s last day in Patnem and we did a long beach day. Some people stayed down there throughout. Bob, Daisy and I were wimps and went back to Eve’s, showered and changed and went back to Sea front for sunset. It was a lovely one. Lots of the others were still swimming as the sun went down. Then we hunkered down for drinks and dinner. Kirsty and Sara joined us. We had a lovely dinner on the beach and then a nightcap back at Eve’s.

This morning we had breakfast with Joseph and Janet. They were leaving to go up to Anjuna for 2 nights prior to their flight home from Mopa. Will look forward to their hotel review. Could be useful for future trips if flight times are not kind. Sad to see them go but I hope we will see them in the UK later this year
I got a taxi at 930 to take me to Nailmaster Manish in Margao for a manicure, dropping Bob on the way in Chaudi as he had some errands to run. My nail appointment went very smoothly and I was back on my way by 1230. Lovely pearly pink colour. Bob had got his shopping done and also his 3 monthly injection done at the little Margao clinic. It was only £1 for them to give him the jab.
When I got back Bob and Daisy had had lunch at Eve’s and were lazing in our room having a lazy day in the cool. I joined them for the afternoon. Then tonight our gang went to Casa Jaali for dinner. Always nice there. Lovely location and nice, clean food. I pushed the boat out and had a chicken burger. As did Bob. Daisy had cheese fettucini. All delicious.

We tuk’d back to Eve’s and had nightcaps and about 10pm Linda and Mike arrived for their stay They’ve been on the most amazing multi stop trip of the Far East including Bali and Sri Lanka. Glad to be here now for a rest. So we ended the night as 9. But tomorrow is Deborah and David’s last day so then we will be down to 7 again.
