Yesterday was Deborah and David’s last day in Patnem. They’ve had a lovely time and I’m sure would have liked to have stayed longer. They’ve been such good company and will be much missed.

We had a Patnem beach day and then in the evening we went to Cow Corner for dinner. Bob had a bit of a stomach upset so he just had soup and didn’t stay late. The rest of us went for the usual mix of chicken schnitzel, chicken steak with mushroom sauce, crispy mushrooms etc. A lovely evening.

Deborah and David departed in the early hours and we woke up to find a bag of goodies on our doormat! Rum, ginger beer, coke, crisps etc. Wowzer!
Today, we went to Palolem. Pamela and Linda went into Chaudi first thing for shopping errands and to visit the wholesaler. Eddie, Mike, Bob, Daisy and I tuk’d to Cozy Nook for breakfast Bob and Daisy had the poached eggs on Swiss rosti. I had a Spanish omelette and there was lots of coffee. The beach was quiet and the sea was quite idyllic. We had lots of swims After a while the girls arrived and together with Mike and Eddie, they went off to the tapas restaurant next door to Ciarans. Had a very nice lunch with sangria. We stayed at cozy nook. Daisy retreated to a swinging day bed for the afternoon.

Came away about 330 and called at the Patnem Dental clinic on the way home. I am booked in for my composite veneer on Saturday afternoon. It is £95.
Tonight we were back in Palolem at Dropadi for dinner. Daisy and I both had chicken kastoori – fabulously soft, luscious chunks of tandoori chicken marinaded in a paste and in my case served with grilled vegetables. Daisy had hers with veg, chips and a garlic cheese naan. I did try some and it was stupendous. Bob had chicken jalfrezi with a garlic naan. A lovely evening all round.
