The owner/manager of Sea Front restaurant is a chap called Rocky and he enforces the strictest rules of service and food quality. He’s been away a couple of weeks and whilst standards have been very high, we could tell immediately that he was back this morning. Just a general sharpening of attitude and alertness….
Anyway, Bob and I had Sunday morning breakfast at Sea Front. We budget about £25 per day for food and drink for both of us ie£12.5 each. By and large this is generously achievable especially this year with breakfasts largely self catered. Bob always has lunch and I have like a bit of whatever he’s having or nothing at all. Then we have whatever we want for dinner and drinks…. So today we bought breakfast. Bob had puri baji (very spicy today) and I had 2 fried eggs on toast and a french press of coffee.

The wind was gusty today and the swell was high. Spring tides. We had a bit of a sluice wet in the sea but couldnt get out through the breakers. Sunshades and read. Just after lunch there was a massive gust and half the umbrellas, including mine, uplifted and flew backwards. No one was impaled luckily. Bob played rumicube and I stayed out in the sun and read. Gave up about 3:30 and came back to the pool which was heaven.
Came back to Sea front about 715 with John and Susan and Rocky made a big fuss of us over dinner. Gave us 2 for 1 cocktails all night. I stuck to margaritas. Bob had Tom collins. I ate kingfish tikka with salad and a roti. Bob had prawn masala, rice and a roti. Everything was just amazing. Their food is excellent. The whole bill with tip including 4 cocktails came to about £20. Nearer £19.

Walked back to Eve’s and met the rest of the gang for chat and Honey Bees.
