Beach Views and Dinner

Bob made gorgeous masala mushroom omelettes for breakfast. Eggs, fresh mushrooms, pinch of turmeric, garam masala and chilli flakes. Absolutely delicious. Sorry I was too greedy to wait and take a photo. Next time.

Lovely day on the beach. Very sunny. A new visitor strolled by this morning. He took a fancy to some breakfast people in the next shack were eating on their sunloungers. They fled and he scoffed it all. Strolled sedately past us though.

Janet and Hilary went into Palolem to get Janet’s crown fitted. All good and it only cost £78. Her dentist in the UK had wanted hundreds and hundreds. They celebrated with frozen strawberry margaritas at Dropadi. Honestly this is the place to come for dentistry or eye ops. Excellent facilities and so much cheaper.

Read…sunbathed…swam….. repeat all day. Bob had lunch and played cribbage and rumicube. I read and swam more.. Walked back and swam in the pool too which was bliss.

Tonight we had dinner on the beach at Tantra with John and Susan. I had palak paneer which is my favourite. Bob and Paneer Tikka masala and we shared some rice and a vegetable stuffed paratha. All very nice under the stars. Walked back up the beach road and Bob bought 2 pairs of trousers and a shirt for about £14. They are only cheap cotton ones but good for out here.

Had a nightcap at Eve’s with the gang. Everywhere is still very busy with the bank holiday. A lot more cars on the road through the village. It will be good to get Monday over and back to the peaceful norm.
