Gorgeous evening last night. We sat out round the pool till about 8pm. I cooked some lovely pork steaks in a Chinese marinade and we had green beans and Bob had Cyprus potatoes. lovely sunset and so warm….. We went in about 830 so Bob could watch the Channel 4 Monaco Grand Prix coverage.

This morning we had breakfast on our terrace couches. I love to lie out here with a coffee any hour of the day.

Today we gave ourselves the day off jobs and went to the beach. There are several very close by but we chose Escape Beach, about 8 minutes drive away. It cost £5 each for a lounger, umbrella and access to the WiFi, showers etc. Its lovely sheltered Bay, running out very sandy and shallow. There must have been some big seas over the winter though as the beach is about half the width it was last year. Anyway, we got nice loungers right at the water’s edge and enjoyed swimming and reading and sunning. Had a pizza for lunch which we shared. The beach side cafes were not open but the cafe up beyond the carpark was running a meal/drink service to the loungers.

All was well till 230 when some numpty started up music at club level volumes. He clearly thought he was the bees knees !!!!! We packed up and came home and got in our pool, floating round and napping for the next few hours. Not at all hungry after the pizza so just had a couple of sausages each as a snack, washed down by the requisite g&t.
