Golf and San Andreas
Delray Beach, FL
Delray Beach, FL
Another lovely relaxing day. Harriet’s friend Marilyn, came over. A very nice lady. Bob went back to the same course and played golf again. This time he went around in 90. He said it was really quiet and good. His knees and shoulder are holding up anyway. Waited around for UPS to deliver the knife set Lucy had ordered for her new flat. She doesn’t want to put her very expensive chef’s knives out and she saw Henckel sets on fantastic offers here. They would be a LOT of money back home. Unfortunately Bloomingdales in Orlando did not have them in stock so she had to order them online and have them sent to Harriet’s. Anyway, they arrived today and we will bring them home
Later in the afternoon we went to the cinema to watch San Andreas. Went to a new cinema near Delray. It was really amazing very high tech, very comfortable seats. Enjoyed the film and the special effects were amazing. There was a hearty dose of implausibility in the plot LOL but it was vey exciting.
Buddy came over in the evening for dinner. Buddy was married to Roz, Harriet’s younger sister, for 60 years, but very sadly she died last year. He looked very well however and seems to be coping well wit his new life. Cooking for himself, going to the gym and activities. We had a lovely FT call with Michael (Harriet’s grandson) and Laura and their son Asher. They came and stayed with us in September 2013 when Asher was 10 months old. He was adorable then and still is now and is beginning to talk – knows quite a lot of words and is running around, whereas he was just “pulling up” when we saw him last.
A nice relaxing family day.
