This morning Fi and I headed off to Tiffany’s Nail Salon which was about a 5/6 minute drive from the Grande Vista. The boys dropped us off at 930 and then headed to Dennys for their big old breakfast.

We were both very impressed with Tiffanys. Excellent hygiene measures in place. Fi had a pedicure and i had my nails cut back, all the polish removed and then an SNS dipping powder manicure. Very pleased with the result and they will grow healthy and manageable again now. We emerged at around 1045 and walke down to Publix Supermarket which was in the same shopping strip. Bob and Stuart were already inside picking up a few bits of supplies. Stuart is cooking Tex Mex for us tomorrow night.

Came back to the apartment and had a quick lunch and then Fi and I headed for the pool. Bob and Stuart were trying to get the Princess cruises app to work with little success. Eventually Stuart joined us but Bob was stuck on the line for a long and ultimately unsuccessful time.

Tonight we were meeting up with Fran, Dave and Fran’s dad, Buddy and eating dinner at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Lake Buena Vista. I have known Fran and Buddy since I was 16 and was an exchange student in New Jersey. Fran was the cousin of my exchange sister, who is sadly no longer with us, and we have all remained close down the decades. Most of the family now live around Melbourne in Florida, including Buddy, and also Harriet who was my exchange family mother. It was wonderful to see them all after a few years of being unable to visit.

We had a fabulous evening! The steaks were mega and the company was even better.
