The day that we’ve been really looking forward to! Just wish Lucy and Geri were coming too.
Bob and I had the morning at the beach and then headed back at 1pm to meet her. Her plane had landed at Mopa airport early at 1010 but we didn’t know how long it would take her to get through immigration, get her bag and then of course the long taxi ride. In fact, it was super quick and the taxi rolled through the gate of Eve’s at 130.
So lovely to see her. She checked into her room and then came down and sank 2 cold cokes in quick succession. We had a good catch up. The plane hadn’t been full and she’d got a whole row of seats to herself and managed to lie down and sleep nearly the whole flight apart from the two meals. No idea where she puts all this food.
Marylyn had managed to make her a hair appointment at the little salon across the road for 430 so after a shower and a rest she went across for a hair cut and layering then we all met at 630 and walked down to the beach for sunset. We’d booked a table at Tantra. Deborah and David were already there so we enjoyed literal sundowners together and by the time the sun went down we were a gang of 10. Cocktails were 2 for 1 and they were greatly enjoyed by all. Daisy had one of her favourites – chicken cordon bleu – and Bob and I both went for prawn masala. Yum.

A very enjoyable evening with good talk and laughter. Looking forward to spending time with Daisy over the next three weeks.
