Last Day

Our last full day here in lovely Cyprus, this time. It has been incredibly hot, almost humid… but no matter, we had jobs to do. We packed up our cases and the small amount of stuff we pack away into locked cupboards. I did some last washes.

Bob was very indignant that his new Crocs had disappeared from outside the back door overnight. He later found them in the orchard, rather chewed…. lol…. clearly a dog or a fox – we have both locally at the moment – had decided to have a game with them. We’ve asked Wilma to remind guests not to leave clothes out drying overnight…. unfortunately abandoning pets is a big problem here from time to time. We haven’t seen any strays in the garden but they must be down in the ravine. A few years ago some guests were in the habit of leaving their bikinis out to dry on the balustrade and they disappeared. For some days they believed there must be a local pervert stealing their stuff!!!!!! Then they saw a dog…. anyway….forewarned is forearmed.

Later on this afternoon we called in on Chris and Heather to repay them for paying for dinner the other night at Royal Moon when we hadn’t realised it was cash only. Had a lovely few hours. sitting on their terrace and chatting. Their house is amazing as is their garden. They have done so much and it looks beautiful. Loads of mature trees and shrubs. Very envious. They really have done an amazing job.

Came back and had another impromptu pool plunge to cool off, then a quick dinner and a lovely last evening enjoying the house and the mountains. Not really ready to leave but needs must…….
